What is SASC?

SASC stands for the San Andreas State Community. It is the out-of-character community framework that coordinates hard-RP law enforcement, public-safety, and the wider society around them.

It is not a single faction. It is the shared lore, standards, and coordination that let federal agents, local police, courts, criminals, civilians, media, and businesses share one continuity.

Is this only for FBI players?

Accepted Answer

No. Federal investigative roleplay is the centre of gravity, but it is only one part of the world. Civilians, criminals, government, media, legal, and business roleplayers are all first-class participants.

Many of the best stories never involve a federal agent at all.

Question 3

Can civilians participate?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely — civilians are essential, not background. Witnesses, victims, informants, business owners, journalists, lawyers, and ordinary citizens shape and steer cases constantly.

You do not need a badge or a rank to matter here.

Question 4

Can criminal factions work with you?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Criminal factions are full partners in the story, not targets to be cleared. We are interested in durable conflict — investigations, pressure, deals, mistakes, and consequences over time — not instant shutdowns.

Is the lore public IC knowledge?

Only the parts labelled "IC Public". Every piece of lore on this site carries a canon status and an in-character visibility label.

Material marked OOC Canon, Restricted, Classified, Future Arc, or Admin / Narrative is for you the player — your character does not automatically know it.

Are UFOs real in the setting?

Accepted Answer

There are unexplained desert incidents, official denials, and persistent rumours — but nothing is confirmed as fact in-world. The truth is deliberately contested.

Anomalies exist as a controlled narrative layer that creates investigations and secrecy. They are never an open, established part of the world.

Is this a sci-fi server?

Accepted Answer

No. We play grounded, modern-realistic hard RP. Crime, politics, money, and media drive every story.

Black-file and anomaly content is capped to a small fraction of play (roughly 10%) and is always treated as secret, rumoured, or denied — never as superpowers or open science fiction.

Can my character know classified projects?

Accepted Answer

Only within the proper in-character context — for example, if they are assigned to a classified case or hold the necessary clearance and access.

Knowing about a project as a player (because you read this site) never means your character knows it. And knowledge does not transfer between the different characters you play.

Can I have multiple characters?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Multiple characters per account are allowed, up to the platform limit.

Each character is a separate in-character identity. There is no out-of-character knowledge transfer between them — what one character learns, the others do not know.

Can I have multiple characters in the same faction?

Accepted Answer

Yes, where the platform rules permit it — a single account may hold active memberships in the same faction through different characters.

Each character must be played as a distinct person. They do not share knowledge, relationships, or reputation, and you must never use one to advantage another.

Do law enforcement factions always win?

Accepted Answer

No — and that is the whole point. SASC is designed to make law-enforcement roleplay meaningful and accountable, not dominant.

Agents work under real constraints, can be wrong, can be outmaneuvered, and are held to account. Many arcs are designed for law enforcement to struggle, fail, or only partially succeed.

How are raids handled?

Raids are the payoff of an investigation, not an opening move. They require buildup — evidence, cause, and usually a warrant — before they happen.

A raid should create roleplay (charges, court, retaliation, fallout), not end it.

How are arrests handled?

An arrest is the beginning of a story, not a way to delete a player. It opens booking, legal process, court, and consequences for everyone involved.

We expect characters to accept arrests gracefully and turn them into great RP.

How do press releases work?

Accepted Answer

Official press releases are public, in-character information that anyone in the world may know and reference.

They are also a story tool — what an agency chooses to say (or not say) publicly shapes the narrative and creates pressure.

How do I join?

Create an account, create a character, read the hard-RP standards and the IC/OOC rules, then either apply to a faction or jump straight into civilian roleplay.

How do I propose a story?

Sketch your premise — who is involved, what is at stake, how others can get pulled in — and bring it to staff or the narrative team so boundaries and availability can be coordinated.

How are disputes handled?

Out of character, calmly, and through staff. If a scene feels unfair or a boundary is crossed, pause, document it, and raise it — do not retaliate in-character or argue out of character.

We coordinate boundaries and story quality, never guaranteed outcomes.
