(( Out of Character ))
A hard-RP law enforcement and public-safety roleplay community built around long-term stories, realistic consequences, interagency cooperation, and player-driven investigations.
The short version
The San Andreas State Community is the out-of-character framework that ties our world together.
SASC is a community, not a single faction. It is the shared rulebook, lore, and coordination layer that lets law enforcement, government, criminals, civilians, media, and businesses play in the same continuity — with the same standards.
Federal and investigative roleplay sits at the centre of what we do, but it is never the whole picture. SASC exists to make that roleplay meaningful and accountable, not to make any one side dominant.
We measure a session by the story it left behind, not by who "won". A clean getaway and a blown raid are both good RP if they move the world.
Crime, government, media, business, and ordinary citizens all run in parallel. The federal layer is one part of a much larger world.
Characters, factions, ranks, clearances, casework, and audit trails are tracked by the site itself — so consequences and history are real, not remembered.
We would rather have fewer serious players than a crowded server. Quality of RP is the entry requirement, not character count.
The play style
Hard RP. Characters behave like real people in a believable world, and the consequences of their choices persist.
Cases are assembled from tips, evidence, surveillance, and informants over time. Pressure builds; raids and arrests are the payoff, not the opening move.
Conflict escalates in steps a real person would take. Fear, risk, and self-preservation are played honestly — nobody is fearless and nobody is invincible.
A conviction creates appeals, retaliation, and reputations. A leak shifts public opinion. Every arc opens the door to the next one.
Find your place
However you want to play, there is a way in. Pick the role that fits and we'll point you at the right reading.
Non-negotiables
Six ideas underpin everything here. If they resonate, you'll fit in.
Actions leave marks. Arrests, leaks, betrayals, and mistakes echo for weeks of play. Nothing resets at the end of a scene.
Cases are built, not won. Pressure, evidence, and patience drive stories — not raids that materialise out of nowhere.
Civilians, criminals, government, media, and federal agents are all protagonists. No group exists only to be content for another.
We compete in-character and cooperate out-of-character. Opponents are partners in building a story worth losing to.
Power is checked — by courts, oversight, the press, and staff. Law enforcement is held to standards, not handed wins.
A serious, modern-realistic world. Secrets and anomalies exist as a controlled layer, never as open sci-fi or power fantasy.
